Used books worth looking out for (1): The New Naturalist series
As regular readers of this blog will know, I am slowly compiling a book of hot-selling non-fiction books and, consequently, I spend a lot of time researching completed auctions on eBay.
I have noticed several series of books that are regularly listed on eBay, many of which sell for very good prices. I thought it would be useful to highlight some of them as you may want to keep your eyes open for them when visiting charity shops and flea markets etc.
The first series I want to look at is The New Naturalist :

Three recent sales of this book: Sold 22 Mar 2008 for £60.00, 27 Mar 2008 for £60.00 and 29 Mar 2008 for £54.55
New Naturalist No. 82: The New Naturalists by Peter Marren

New Naturalist No. 67: Farming and Wildlife by Kenneth Mellanby

New Naturalist No. 100: Woodlands by Oliver Rackham
Two recent sales of this book: Sold for £50.00 23 Mar 2008 and £50.00 1 Apr 2008
The list above represents only a few of the New Naturalist books that have sold on eBay in recent weeks but be aware that most, if not all, of the books listed above were first editions in excellent condition. And not all of the books in the series sell for such high prices; some titles sell for less than £20 and some don’t sell at all.
I will be writing more articles on hot-selling books over the next week or two so please check back often or sign up to our RSS Feed so that you will be notified when we make a new post.
