As a family of hoarders we first tried out eBay when we reached a stage where we needed to dispose of some of the books, magazines, vinyl records and various other accumulated objects that were taking up so much space in our home. It was either that or move to a bigger house!

While we are still slowly working our way through all our unwanted articles and still have full-time jobs, we feel that we have now served our online ‘apprenticeship’ and are looking to take our online hobby a step further and turn it into a business.

We know that a successful online business cannot be created overnight, in spite of what the ‘fake it till you make it’ marketers might have us believe. As with an offline business, the work must go in before the money comes out and we will not be deluded into believing that there is a magic formula to overnight success.

There is no doubt that the best way to learn is to follow in the footsteps of those who are already successful and with this in mind we make sure we only take the advice of those internet marketers who have been there and done it. We have no time for the theorists who spend their time selling how-to manuals when they have never actually done what they purport to teach.

Research is an important key to a successful online business, but can be very time-consuming. We spend a lot of time checking out completed auctions on eBay with a view to finding profitable, hidden niches that we had not previously considered and we will be reporting our findings on this blog on a regular basis so that you can take advantage of our research.

We will also be reviewing some of the many ebooks, membership sites and other resources that come onto the market (but only those that come from internet marketers who ‘walk the talk’) and we will be recommending the best of them on our review page.

Best of all, we will be seeking out the best free resources and providing links to them on our downloads page.

There will be no hype or spin. We will not insult your intelligence by trying to convince you that we have secrets that can produce a six figure income overnight and we will be documenting our failures along with the things that work.
